i Description of Gem

A beautiful white woman with long hair. She wears a green gown.

There is a small gathering of people.

Zam: Lords! Lords! Approach and be. The king is with us. He waits for you inside.

“He is not yet king!,” says one man at the gathering.

Zam: A’ then, the crowned king to be, is he. Go! Get inside! Your king awaits.

A beautiful girl passes by Zam. She looks at him. Their eyes meet. She walks by the ground road into the casle.

A large castle has a stone walk across a moat where a draw bridge is anchored with a metal rung gate held open at the entrance.

At the castle’s great hall Prince Archibald speaks to guests.

Archibald: Here, here!

Archibald raises his goblet of wine then drinks.

Zam sits next to Archibald with other lords to Archibalds other side who raise their cups of wine then drink.

Archibald: The time is now! My friends, we will strike at my brother’s army, once, and for all!

The Great Hall gets quiet when a chill wind stirs.

Archibald leans to Zam. Zam whispers something in Archibald’s ear.

Archibald: Now, you must be wondering why you’re here. You are all are invited to serve me. It is my brother, Roland, who has sacrificed this great land. He steals power from our countrie’s throne, rightfully belonging to me. I implore you, lords, fight for me. We will smash the rebellion my brother rouses. We will rule this land.

At the Great Hall there is a large gathering of people.

Lord: No! You are the imposter! Archibald you have plagued us! Roland is the true king.

Archibald: Guards! Seize him!

Archibald points to the speaker.

Castle guards with pikes approach the speaker.

A blast of powerful magic is unleashed, the speaker turns into an owl then flies up into the rafters then out of a open window.

Archibald: No! Foul play!

Zam stands up.

Zam: All is well. Allow me, lords. I am Zam, guild of the skull. I accept the offer. Spirits of this land yearn for our fight. I speak with souls buried by Roland’s betrayal. The last war cost us greatly. Now is our chance to right. Together my friends, we will rise this country from ash to enchantment! Here here! Here here! Here here!

Everyone raises their cups of wine then drinks.

They are outside the castle.

Gem loses her unicorn.

A unicorn neighs then rears high.

Hoofs waver into the air a frieghtened gallop then the unicorn rears again lashing away from the reigns.

Gem: Presha!

The unicorn runs around the den of a wooded thicket into the grass valley.

Gem runs after her unicorn.

Gem: Preshaaa!

Zam is there to protect Gem.

Gem: Thank you, my lord…

Zam bows to Gem.

Gem: You saved my unicorn.

Zam: It would seem.

Zam sticks out his glove hand to Gem.

Gem takes Zam’s hand. Gem feels Zam’s glove hand. A sudden embrace turns cold to the touch. Gem let’s go of Zam’s hand.

Zam looks at Gem peculiar.

Zam: Where are you going?

Gem: I was going home, my lord.

Castle

Zam: I will take you there.

Gem: My lord, I can take myself.

Zam: Though I am going there, also.

Gem: As you wish.

Zam and Gem look up at the stars laying in a bog’s grass field at night.

Gem: I am drawn by the stars.

Zam: As I, by my spirit.

Gem: My lord… I am a lady.

Zam: Yes?

Gem: It’s, just…

Gem tosses her hair to her side leaning up looks at Zam.

Gem: I…

Zam lays on the grass.

Gem feels Zam’s chest.

Then Gem sits on Zam’s lap.

Gem: You are…

Gem closes her eyes with a faint smile leaning back she rocks for a moment then Gem suddenly opens her eyes wide with a sigh.

Gem: Ice cold…?

Gem touches Zam’s chest again then grabs a hold of his arm feeling for endurance in his strong biceps.

Gem: Your heart is warm, while yet, your blood flows ice cold.

Zam: Aye’.

Zam smiles at Gem.

Zam: I am undead. My spirit lives beyond death.

Gem’s expression changes. Gem looks scared. Zam grabs a hold of Gem who sits on his lap. He pulls her closer. He stares into her eyes. Zam’s eye’s are empty.

Zam: Look into my eyes…

Like a star burning in deep space a flare ignites inside Zam’s eyes.

Zam: Look deeper into my eyes!

Zam holds Gem in place. Gem stares into Zam’s eyes where inside a flame burns. Gem sighs. Suddenly the flame burning in Zam’s eyes goes out.

Zam: You, you… Are uncast?

Gem: What are you trying to do?

Zam: I am sorry.

Suddenly, Gem get’s up from Zam’s lap.

Gem: You tried to cast a spell on me?

Zam gets up off the ground.

Zam: Gem, I need you.

Gem: You!

Gem folds her arms cross then turns away with frustration.

In a sudden white light flash Zam quickly appears close behind Gem. He puts his hands gently on her shoulders standing behind her close.

Zam: I am sorry.

Gem walks away from Zam then turns around.

Gem: My sorceresses are counting on me. The sorceresses haven’t yet decided for who our castle’s rue. I don’t know how I feel now.

Zam sits down on the grass closing his eyes.

Zam: In the morning… You may decide then.

Zam goes to sleep.

Gem lays down on the grass near Zam. Gem goes to sleep.

i Wilfrey

In a tent encamping with the army at a table inside Roland talks to Wilfrey.

Roland: Wilfrey, what is my brother planning?

Wilfrey: He has gathered the lords from across his lands. They plan for a war of succession.

Roland: Dare he!

Wilfrey: T’is.

Roland: The sorcesses will fight for me. The wizard moves to secure our boarder. The armory stockades are set for the armada of paladin knights. The wizard and the knight unite again for the war of succession.

Wilfrey: My liege, more castles side with your brother, as we speak.

Roland: Forget them.

Castle is strong.

Zam’s army approaches.

Agar’s army approaches with Zam’s.

Zam: Agar!

Agar: My lord.

Zam: Agar, we battle here.

Agar: I, Agar, the warlock. The land rues my power. Master of my lord’s batallion, supreme caster, in my age, this battle last.

For once was he, the boy a prince who had his hands both cut, may he been by undead or the turn of the lord, less of a knight with former self. My blood burns… Like yours in spirit, my lord, till in death.

Agar pacts to Zam. Zam pacts to Agar.

Zam: It is Wilfrey the mage knight who we must turn to. His magical methods decide fate.

Zam and Agar appear with an army of pikemen, a flock of gargoyles, a heard of centaur warriors, a green dragon and a bone dragon, an army of undead skeletons, zombies, and a gathering of vampire lords.

Zam raises his arm with a magic power cast from his glove hand spread out held palm down.

Bones ripple from the topography rising into being. Skeletons appear climbing out of the ground.

Agar looks on cocking his eye up into the air where a green dragon flies above.

i Gem is given the amulet

Zam: Gem, my dear

Wear this.

Gem: What is it?

Zam: You must.

Gem: But what is it?

Zam: This amulet will protect you from undead paralysis.

Gem: I am a sorceress. I have magical immunity.

Zam: O’ my dear, no, please Gem… Even your sorcery cannot hold back the power of the undead cast, this time.

Gem: But I…

Zam: Trust me…

Zam grabs a hold of Gem and pulls her close to himself. Zam’s eyes and Gem’s eyes meet face to face. Zam stares into Gem’s eyes. In Zam’s eyes a flame ignites burning a powerful flare. Gem get’s tired. Gem goes faint for a moment then postures her strength again. Gem pulls away from Zam.

Gem: A’! What? What is happening to me?

Zam: You will be turned to the side of death if you don’t. Your heart will go cold. Your viens will flow like ice. Your spirit will disappear from being. Then, Gem, you will be enslaved.

You will become undead unless you take this.

Zam holds out his hand holding the amulet for Gem.

Zam: Or you and I can never be together.

Gem takes the amulet from Zam. A sudden short shockwave in semblance of the amulet vibrates appearing magnetization of energies into dissipation.

Gem rides into the castle of the sorceress.

Gem: Sisters! This land is fallen. We have no choice.

Luna: Sister! We side with Roland…

Gem: No, sisters. Archibald rues.

Luna: Sister?

Gem: T’is sister. Look at this.

Gem shows Luna her amulet.

Luna: What is it, sister?

Gem: This protects us, sister, from undead magic. Who fights for us, sister? Their armies are approaching.

Luna: Sister! The sorceresses fight!

Luna acknoledges Gem with agreement clenching a hand.

Gem: Aye’ sister.

i Zam leaves

Zam approaches Gem’s castle.

Zam: You will be queen.

Zam bows to Gem.

Gem: Aye’.

Zam: The land needs your protection. You and the sorceresses sisters deepen my cast into the realm.

Zam gives Gem a unicorn, a dwarf, a halfling, and a phoenix.

A phoenix burns into livid red prismatic flames a giant bird.

Zam: The unit here is yours. This phoenix is my gift to you. These unicorns are my presents to you. They were united by the cast of magic.

Gem: Zam, I, I just don’t understand all this. Wouldn’t Roland have been true to the throne? These creatures were once his belonging…

Zam: What dare you say to me? No, Gem. He will use the magic for his purposes, then in death he will cast us to suit himself, once again. No more of his trechery can unite our country.

Gem: Then what am I? Except your queen?

Gem sits down to her side at her bedside table by a mirror. She looks at Zam who stands in front of her bed.

Zam: I am needed in battle. Our victory is at hand. Archibald’s reign needs my general.

Gem: I needed you… Once.

Zam: O’, my dear.

Zam expresses sadness looking at Gem. In Zam’s eyes are tears. Zam takes gem’s hand. Gem stands up from her bedside. Zam and Gem hold hands for a moment then Zam turns away.

Zam: I have to go, now.

A knight approaches Gem from inside her castle.

Sir Gallant: I am here to protect you, my lady.

Gem: Who are you?

Sir Gallant: I am Sir Gallant, commander at arms. I escourt armies of the crown, Archibald.

Sir Gallant gets to know Gem well.

Sir Gallant helps the flocking unicorns into the field with Gem. Sir Gallant watches the phoenix ember in magical fires flying into outer-space.

Gem: I like you Sir Gallant. There is a charm about you.

Sir Gallant: Gem, I have orders by the army.

Gem: O’, as I am.

Gem turns to her side then yells to her companions. Dwarf warriors appear.

Gem: I can handle myself.

Sir Gallant: Hah! I have no doubts, my lady.

Outside of a gazebo in the grounds of the castle Sir Gallant lays on the ground with Gem on top of him.

Sir Gallant: Zam will cast me if he finds out about this.

Gem: You are not the only one.

Sir Gallant: O’.

Gem: I’m just a girl. You’re just right, now.

Sir Gallant: Gee, thanks…

Gem: I didn’t mean it. I meant, you are right.

Sir Gallant: Who else besides me?

Gem: Alaric, the halfling.

Gem sighs.

Gem: Erik, the dwarf, Baroch, Agar, who swore would kill me, and you. You are right, now. You are different than them somehow.

Sir Gallant goes to tussle with Gem on top of him.

Sir Gallant leaves to the army.

Sir Gallant: Gem, I have to go to the command center.

Gem: O’, is it I who always waits?

Sir Gallant: This land needs your protection.

Gem: Aye’.

A unicorn runs into the field of grass at the gazebo while Sir Gallant rides away. Gem sighs.

i Wilfrey sides with Archibald

In an amulet of magical sound Archibald.

Archibald: I offer you great power Wilfrey. Side with me. Don’t be fooled by my brother, Wilfrey. Will you join me and rule the land?

Wilfrey: Archibald, I accept.

Wilfrey arrives are Archibald’s castle in the court.

Archibald: You will fight for me.

Wilfrey: Once I ruled a lord. Who do I fight for now?

Archibald: You must prove yourself, Wilfrey.

Wilfrey often loses pace in battle, castle’s fall to Roland. Wilfrey makes Agar tire who goes to Zam. Zam and Agar continue at the front lines while Wilfrey moves to auxiliary command. Wilfrey provides combined order into the magical stage, powerful armies, intriguing insight.

Zam: Wilfrey, I commend, you are skilled, why are you set back?

Wilfrey: My lord, what is your order?

Zam: Fight on, Wilfrey with might of the army.

Wilfrey: Should you see folk your way? Turning them undead.

Zam: If my undead fight then the cast is turned. If they have spirits of the fie, right, like my lord, my queen, and yours, then what would I do? The undead live through all the land I rue.

Wilfrey: Roland’s crusder’s are being formed who will smash through your undead sorcery.

Zam: You have seen this proven before?

Wilfrey: Aye. I have come to Archibald from purity to ruler, a peasant to power.

Zam: Then you will be he. Until is Wilfrey.

Zam and Wilfrey seperate.

Agar, Archibald, Zam decides to capture a dragon.

Wilfrey and Zam go on a quest for the green dragon.

A dragon is captured from the hive swarm made to serve Archibald. The green dragon has a magical power. The green dragon becomes a fierce creature fighting for Archibald. Wilfrey takes the green dragon from Archibald giving it to Alarac who then sets the dragon.

Archibald: Alarac, my lord. Your victory unchallanged?

Alarac: Aye, aye, once I be, were the men of honor among us, dwarf, elf, gnome, and me a halfling kind, and he good sir, noble man. Then be it came, his kingdom would turn, skeleton, gorgon, orc, goblin. Aye’, aye’, who is it for me to decide, short like I am, a magical being? Then rogue, pike, arrow, and the crusaders, they all fell to the cast.

Archibald: O’, you.

Archibald smiles happily at Alarac.

Alarac and Zam talk about battle.

Zam: Alarac, I will be on the front lines for much of the battle. Should you guard the castle royals, ensure Gem is with you, always, yes?

Alarac: Yes, sire.

Alarac visits Gem. Gem is enthralled by Alarac’s stories. Alarac takes the army then travels afar discovering vast magic and rising the order into Zam’s armies.

i Archibald talks to Wilfrey

Archibald: You have lost the castle, Wilfrey.

Wilfrey: It were, my lord.

Wilfrey lowers his head.

Archibald: Wilfrey, those castles, they were, expendable. Can’t you explain?

Wilfrey: Unto Agar, sent Zam, then I am sent the expedition from the royal castle, who, Gem, and yourself? What is my rue?

Towers of the mages are unstoppable to me, strategy of the best generals are like waves of sand. Archibald, the power rules over me, I cannot control the people you see here.

Archibald: No, Wilfrey, not yours to control, not yet. You will do what they order.

Wilfrey: Aye’, my lord, though I have order to inspire.

Archibald: How?

Wilfrey: I am a wizard who turned omniscience with crusader of the knights. Liches rule in the good king’s castles. Armies of knights sent. Will you be turned? I will not, unless I escape death with Agar and Zam.

Archibald: No… No I won’t, either. You know Agar is mortal?

Wilfrey: A mortal yes he is uncast.

Archibald: You have knowledge, then.

Wilfrey: Should your folk of rue and fie be turned to cast in Zam’s rule? Like Sandro, Casandra? Or the land and all the castles, infested with death?

Archibald: No, no, no! Or, yes? I don’t know! They rebel against me.

Archibald shows Wilfrey a magic scroll.

Archibald: This scroll rules the kingdom. The order reigns a levity of undue taxes on the land.

Wilfrey: Burn it.

Wilfrey sets fire to the scroll. The scroll emits magic blasting a powerful shock. The scroll cannot be burned.

Archibald: This is the scroll of rule in Enroth. Your magic alone cannot undo the power of my great great grandfathers. If I lose this scroll I could lose order of the royalty.

Wilfrey: I see. I cannot burn this though I can undo it’s power with inversion.

Archibald: If you wish.

Wilfrey: Is fate of your realm into order? Zam is a powerful knight. You are right to rue. Then death awaits Roland, also.

Archibald: Wilfrey, see fate.

Archibald and Wilfrey look at the valley of a bog in a country in full view of the castle.

Archibald: There. It is yours, also.

Wilfrey: My lord.

Wilfrey pacts to Archibald.

Wilfrey compiles the power of the original scroll then gives the original scroll to Zam.

i Sandro and Zam

Zam: You, spirit of the undead. You serve me now.

Sandro: I will, my lord. What is your command?

Zam: Take the army of skeletons with you wherever you go. Visit the oracles. Haunt the mines with this.

Zam hands Sandro a scroll.

Zam: Take this with you. I am counting on you. Fate of the crown is in your hands.

Sandro: Yes. I live only to serve…

Sandro hides in forests near the undead castle, visiting with generals who must know of the message Zam orders, then Sandro goes into the castle where the spirits rest until he leaves for the quest.

i Alarac and Gem go through the valley together

Alarac is seen making Gem laugh out loud, in the valley. In the valley, at Gem’s castle, they are out together.

Alarac, what becomes of me? Short, old, me? Old me? I’m not old. Not yet. Or, am I? Is 150, old to you?

Gem: O’, my. My dear halfling. I just don’t know?

i Wilfrey talks to Gem

Wilfrey: Does Zam see you? You use his castle.

Gem: You, Wilfrey, what is it?

Wilfrey: I see what you’re doing because I am a general who you view at escourt of the royal castle.

Gem: Be this girl, once a powerful sister of the sorceress, now look, my sisters and I chambered. O’, is me.

Gem looks out on into the valley where a white unicorn runs through a field.

Gem: Hmm’. And? I suppose you think something of me?

Wilfrey: Suppose I do or suppose I don’t. Like a unicorn to be free should the power run into human hands?

Gem: I only fight for my sisters.

Wilfrey: What about Zam?

A portrait of Zam, honorary, noble, handsome, hangs on the wall, Wilfrey and Gem look at Zam’s portrait for a moment.

Gem: And Zam.

Wilfrey: I know now. Gem, like your sister Sorceresses, power you have to hide. Hide the flames, the hooves, and the horns. Your story like Archibalds why Zam fights for the former. He who only had his pain to hide us from.

Gem: I suppose. I suppose.

Wilfrey cries.

Gem: Sir?

Wilfrey: He was only young.

Gem: O’, sir.

Gem and Wilfrey sit together in the valley with a smile.

In order of the march Zam arrives at the castle. Zam and Wilfrey leave in order of the march.
